Types of welding
Someca has specialised in the welding of stainless steel, carbon steel, and aluminium for many years.
We have qualified processes and operators:
WPQR – Welding Qualifications and Procedures.
• EN15614-1 STAINLESS STEEL 316
• EN15614-1 CARB. STEEL S355J2
WPQ – Welding Operator Performance Qualification
• EN9606-1 STAINLESS STEEL 316
• EN9606-1 CARB. STEEL S355J2
Different materials demand different types of welding processes. We are able to provide various types of welding:
TIG welding
TIG welding is special: thanks to the use of special welding electrodes, the electrode is not consumed during welding and material can be joined simply by fusing the materials to be welded together. This type of welding is used when particularly clean and good-looking welds have to be made.
Electrode welding
In electrode welding, special electrodes of specific dimensions and material are used.
MIG/MAG welding
MIG and MAG welds, like electrode welding, are types of welds that use a consumable filler material. For MIG and MAG welds, a consumable wire of the right material is used, which is added to the area being welded.
It is really important to clean the welding, something that is not always given the necessary attention, although it is essential to guarantee that the customer gets a high-quality result.
